![]() ![]() The best time to come is before dinner rush and after dinner. If you think you are just going to come at 7 or 8 on a Friday or Saturday night and expect to be seated think again. This place can get rather busy but with a little planning you can have a very enjoyable experience. I without a doubt always enjoy coming to Three Floyds Brewery for their food and most definitely their beer. This event is always held in April and it a must for any beer lover. If you ever get the opportunity (I still have yet to get a golden ticket) you simply must come out for Dark Lord Day (aka nector of the gods/highly coveted liquid delight). On the upside, it was cool to learn that brewer Nick Floyd started brewing beer with a unique random assortment of wok burners and Swiss cheese fermenters. Also, no beer is allowed on the tour which just made me sad. Not sure if it was due to the current expansion under construction but it was a bit of a let down. It was super short, like as in 30 minutes short. Apparently you can buy Zombie Dust for carryout however you have to get there early and obviously it's limited. I liked that you could buy beer for carryout - bombers ($8-$12), 6 packs ($10), and cases ($40). It may have been pricey for a side dish but I would get it again! That red potato, sausage and cheesy side dish! I know it's only a side but for whatever reason I can't seem to get it off of my mind. Also, spots at the bar are on the seating rotation so don't expect to come and grab an open spot - you will be denied. On the downside you can't enjoy a beer from the bar while waiting for your table. They offer many of their flagship beers like Zombie Dust and Alpha King but the highlight for me was tasting all of the beers exclusive to the pub. The beer is excellent and the tap list is amazing. So making the trip from Indianapolis to Munster to visit Three Floyds was a dream come true for me. While other people dream of Disney World, I dream of a magical land filled with Three Floyds beers. If you were to open my fridge at this very moment you would find it stocked with Apocalypse Cow, Space Station Middle Finger, Yum Yum and Arctic Panzer Wolf. Overall, glad this is a check mark off the bucket list but probably won't be rushing to go back anytime soon. Thought it was pretty crammed with 3-4 other people in there, so basically waited outside for them to leave. ![]() Gift shop was also tiny in the back corner. Had cheese curds along with steamed buns w/ pastrami and blueberry mustard. Good stout, slightly cheaper than the last while still being aged.įood was good. I enjoyed my second beer much more Barrel Aged Blot Out the Sun. Definitely a bit funky on first taste, but warmed up to it upon every sip. Not sure I knew what I was expecting on this one. Initial thoughts were that this place a bit small and definitely due for an upgrade for as popular as they seem to be. Got our table and was relieved to finally be at this place and soak it in. So added ourselves to the waiting list again.not too big of a deal or long of a wait. Got put on a waiting list for about 30 mins, so we decided to make a quick run only be called after 15 mins and missed our spot. ![]() After trying more than a few of 3 Floyd's beers and enjoying them, visiting the brewery was on the list of places to visit.įinally got my opportunity to visit on a Saturday around 1 pm. ![]()
